One idea.
Four ways in.
You decide the night before. Next morning, the apps you chose stay shut until you have done the thing you said you would do.

543 STEPS TO GO
Or tap the kitchen tag.
Either one opens it.

The whole idea, in one frame — the phone stays on the bedside table and the morning starts outside.
01
For you
Three ways to use it. One rule engine.
The same rules drive all three: a morning lock, an alarm that wants proof, and a focus window you can start any time of day. Enforced by Apple’s own Screen Time controls — not a reminder you can swipe away.
Pick apps and a rule
Any apps Apple’s picker can see. Then the rule: 1,000 steps, get outside, ten push-ups or squats, tap a tag, reach a place, do one named thing, or a time. Seven at launch, with arriving at a venue (Show Up) from November, and you can stack two or three with AND or OR.
Morning Lock
Set it tonight, wake to a locked phone. Tap Instagram and you get NOT YET plus how far you have to go. It ends when the rule does, and nothing carries over to tomorrow.
The Wake Alarm
An alarm for any hour that will not stop until you prove you are up — steps after it rings, a tap on a registered tag, or push-ups or squats counted by the camera. Progress counts toward your morning rule, so getting up is the first part of doing it.
Focus Lock
Any time, not just mornings. Pick a window — an hour, an afternoon, a Tuesday — and the apps stay shut until it ends or until you meet the rule you set. Stack it with a venue and the apps come back when you arrive somewhere. Or use Focus Now: it starts a Focus Lock right now, for 5, 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes, from the app, the Home Screen widget or Siri.
There is a way out
Every route is verified, but none is a trap. The emergency override always works, on every mode. Friction is the point; a cage is not.
The honest bit
Seven rules work anywhere from launch. Show Up needs participating venues and is coming November; its rollout begins only when venue checks are ready. Camera counting for push-ups and squats is planned for public launch in October, subject to device testing. Manual confirmation is also available for morning Push rules.
What it costs
£7.99 a month or £79.99 a year, both with seven days free. Or start on the £2.99 launch intro month, which has no free week — the cheap month is the offer.
02
For a family
A child account is not a stripped-down app.
Your child gets the whole thing — their own morning lock, their own Focus Lock for revision, their own alarm, their own results. What you add on top is School Day, and the ability to pause apps when it actually matters.
Set up the household
Two adults and up to four children, through Apple’s Family Sharing. Adding a child needs their iPhone to hand — it cannot be done from yours alone.
They use it like anyone else
Their own rules, their own morning, a Focus Lock for revision, the Wake Alarm for school. They build these themselves and you cannot see or override them — that part of the app is theirs.
School Day, set once
Term dates, half term, inset days and clubs. Apps you choose wait until the school day is done, and the calendar means you are not doing this every morning.
Or pause apps right now
Dinner, homework, bedtime — start it from your phone for 45, 60 or 90 minutes. They are told who started it, how long it lasts, and exactly how to end it. Phone, messages, maps and emergency calls keep working.
They earn it back themselves
Any rule you allowed ends the restriction — steps, outside, a tap, a place, or one honest thing. A refusal always names the alternatives, and a time-out end is always available so they can never be stranded waiting on you.
What you cannot see, deliberately
You see the Family restrictions you manage, task confirmations and requests your child sends. You do not see their messages, browsing, which apps they opened, location, or their own private rules and results. That boundary is what makes this different from surveillance — and we tell your child so, in the app.
What it costs
£24.99 a month or £249.99 a year with an eligible seven-day trial. Separate Family Lifetime is £299.99 once for two adults and up to four child seats until 18, limited to 2,500 places. Lifetime charges immediately with no trial. Coming January 2027, after the individual launch.
03
For a venue
Be the reason someone leaves the house.
A café, gym, library or coworking space joins Show Up and becomes a place people can choose as the way to unlock their phone. Listing is free, and you can never restrict anyone’s apps.
Sign up online
Prove you run the place, set the address, sign. No sales call — a thousand cafés cannot be phoned.
Pick how people check in
An NFC tag on the counter, or a code your staff give out that changes daily. No QR posters — a printed QR is photographed once and shared forever.
Fund an offer, or do not
A free filter coffee before eleven, half off a first drink, or nothing at all. You fund it, you cap it, we take nothing from it.
See what we brought you
How many found you in the app, how many turned up, how many came back. Counts only — never who.
The part that matters commercially
A Focus Lock released by arriving at your venue does not just bring someone in — it keeps them there for the window they chose. That is a study session, not a visit, and it tends to repeat weekly without you spending anything.
What it costs
Listing is free, forever. Optional advertising placements start at £250 a month plus VAT, and you can be on the network without ever buying one. Show Up is coming November, rolling out city by city once venue checks are ready.
04
For a building
Residents pay retail. A quarter comes back.
Student accommodation and build-to-rent operators put NOT YET in front of residents. Residents pay the normal price — there is no discount and no catch — and 25% of what actually reaches us is returned to a named fund for that building.
Register your sites
Self-serve, per site, with your own code and printed assets generated the moment you finish.
Residents join with your code
They subscribe at the standard price. Attribution runs for twelve months from sign-up, with re-verification.
The fund accrues daily
25% of net proceeds — after VAT and the app store’s cut — on verified residents only. Modelled at the worst-case 30% store commission.
Quarterly statement, then spend it
Reviewed quarterly. Payment follows eligibility checks, settlement reconciliation and approval; later refunds or chargebacks can reverse an earlier contribution. Spending follows the partner agreement.
What we will not claim
No wellbeing outcome, no attainment claim, no health benefit — those need evidence we do not yet have. And you never see an individual resident: every report has a floor of ten people, so no one can be identified by elimination.
What it costs
No fee to the operator on the standard route. Coming December. The procurement and assurance pack follows the independent penetration test in January.
Everywhere, no exceptions
Three promises that hold
whoever you are.
There is always a way out
An emergency override that always works, on every flow, for every person including a child. Deliberate friction, never a cage — and if a rule becomes impossible, another route is always offered.
We hold as little as possible
Your app choices stay on your device. No third-party analytics, ever. Nothing about anyone’s phone activity is visible to a venue, a building or a parent.
If it is not ready, we say so
Every date on this page is what we expect, not a promise — and the things that depend on Apple, a supplier or a partner are labelled as such rather than quietly assumed.
