Terms of use.

These Terms of Use apply to the NOT YET mobile application, website and related services provided by Social Vortex Limited, of 55 Colmore Row, Birmingham, England, B3 2AA ("NOT YET", "we", "us" or "our").

By downloading, accessing, purchasing or using NOT YET, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use NOT YET.

1. What NOT YET does

NOT YET is an iPhone application designed to help you delay access to apps you choose until conditions selected by you have been completed. Depending on the features available on your device and app version, conditions may include Steps, Touch Grass, Push, Tap, Go, One Thing, Time, and combinations of those conditions.

You choose which apps or app categories to restrict, when restrictions apply, which conditions must be completed, your selected targets, and whether to use available reminder, notification or wake-alarm features.

NOT YET is a self-imposed behaviour-management tool. It is not intended to supervise another person without their knowledge or lawful authority.

2. Apple system features

NOT YET may rely on Apple technologies and permissions including Screen Time / Family Controls, Managed Settings, Device Activity, HealthKit, Location Services, Core NFC, Push Notifications, StoreKit and Apple-supported alarm frameworks where available.

Certain features will not work unless you grant the relevant Apple permission. Apple may change, restrict or discontinue system APIs, permissions or operating-system behaviour outside our control. We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available on every device, iOS version or territory.

3. Your rules

You are responsible for the rules, schedules, targets and restrictions you configure. NOT YET does not independently decide which apps you should restrict or which personal goals you should complete.

You should not configure restrictions in a way that prevents access to apps, services or information you may urgently need. Where available, NOT YET provides an emergency override or equivalent recovery mechanism.

4. Challenge types

Steps

Step-based challenges may use Apple Health / HealthKit step information available on your device. Step counts can be delayed, unavailable or affected by your device, Apple Health settings, permissions or operating-system behaviour.

Touch Grass and Go

Location-based challenges may use device location to determine whether a relevant location condition has been met. NOT YET is not a navigation service and is not intended to create a continuous server-side history of your movements for core challenge completion.

Push

Where Push uses manual confirmation, you are responsible for confirming honestly that the selected activity has been completed. Later app versions may offer on-device camera or pose-processing features where supported.

Tap

Tap challenges and Tap proof of awake use NOT YET Tags. A Tap rule requires a registered NOT YET Tag.

One Thing

One Thing is trust-based unless the app expressly says otherwise. NOT YET does not independently verify the task.

Time

Time conditions depend on your device time, timezone and operating-system behaviour.

5. Stacked conditions

NOT YET may allow you to require more than one condition before a protected app group is unlocked. For example, you may require Steps + Touch Grass + Tap for one app group and a Time condition for another. You are responsible for the combinations you create.

5a. Focus Lock

Focus Lock restricts apps you select, for a period you choose, until that period ends or a condition you set is met. You choose the apps and the duration; we do not select them for you. Do not place apps inside a Focus Lock that you may need for work, caring responsibilities, medical, financial or safety purposes during that period. Phone calls, messages, maps and emergency services are never restricted, and the emergency override is available throughout. We are not responsible for consequences of your being unable to open an app you chose to restrict at a time you chose to restrict it.

6. Wake Alarm / Tap-to-Wake

Where available, NOT YET may offer a wake routine requiring proof that you got out of bed before the routine is considered complete. Proof may include completing a specified number of steps after the alarm begins, tapping a registered compatible NFC tag, or completing a specified number of push-ups or squats counted on your device by the camera.

The wake routine may rely on Apple alarm functionality and may include snooze, dismissal, re-arm or follow-up behaviour required or permitted by iOS.

NOT YET is not an emergency alarm, medical alarm, fire alarm, security alarm or safety-critical alarm. Do not rely on NOT YET where an alarm failure could reasonably create a risk of death, injury, missed essential medication, transport danger or other serious harm. Use an appropriate backup alarm where necessary.

7. Personalisation and tone

You may optionally provide information such as a first name, selected tone, personal reason, custom goal, Tag name or custom task. NOT YET may use this information to personalise messages.

You may be offered SASSY or BRUTAL messaging. These messages are intended as humour and behavioural friction. They are not medical, psychological, therapeutic, nutritional or fitness advice. Where controls are available, you can change your selected tone and personalisation settings.

8. Subscriptions and purchases

NOT YET may offer Individual subscriptions, Family subscriptions, a founding Lifetime purchase, free trials and introductory or promotional offers. The exact products, prices, billing periods and trial terms shown by the App Store at the point of purchase govern your purchase.

Current UK products at launch: Individual — £7.99/month or £79.99/year with a seven-day trial for eligible new customers, or a separate £2.99 first-month offer that charges immediately with no trial and then renews at £7.99/month; Founding Lifetime — a one-time Individual purchase, no trial and no renewal, priced from £49.99 and rising every 1,000 memberships to £139.99, limited to 10,000 Individual places. Refunded purchases release places, which resell at the currently open Individual band price. Individual Lifetime does not include Family functionality. Separate Founding Family Lifetime is £299.99 once, limited to 2,500 places, with two adult accounts and up to four child seats until age 18. Both Lifetime plans charge immediately with no trial. Refunded Family purchases release their places.

Family plans are planned for January 2027 and are not available at launch: Family — 7-day free trial, then £24.99/month or £249.99/year, adding parent and guardian controls, linked child devices and profiles, rules and schedules per child, approvals and School Day.

9. Free trials

Where a free trial is offered, the trial length will be shown before you subscribe. Unless cancelled in time, the subscription may convert to the applicable paid subscription under Apple's billing rules and the terms displayed at purchase.

10. Auto-renewal and cancellation

Individual and Family subscriptions are auto-renewing unless cancelled — Individual at £7.99/month or £79.99/year, Family at £24.99/month or £249.99/year after the 7-day free trial. Your Apple ID will be charged according to Apple's billing rules. You can manage or cancel subscriptions using your Apple account / App Store subscription settings. Deleting NOT YET does not itself cancel an Apple subscription.

11. Lifetime purchase

A Lifetime purchase provides the features of the purchased Individual or Family plan for as long as NOT YET exists, subject to these Terms and applicable law. Individual Lifetime covers one adult. Family Lifetime covers two adults and up to four child seats; each child seat ends at age 18.

"Lifetime" does not mean that every future device will be supported, every future Apple technology will remain compatible, every future feature, physical product or service is included, or that NOT YET will continue indefinitely regardless of circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will not arbitrarily remove rights already granted, but future separately priced products or services may not be included.

12. NOT YET Tag

The branded NOT YET Tag is a separately purchased physical NFC product unless an offer expressly states otherwise. No plan entitles a customer to a free Tag. The purchase price shown at checkout applies. Shipping is charged separately and paid by the customer. No subscription includes a Tag, and buying a Tag does not include or unlock a subscription.

The Tag is intended to work with compatible supported devices and does not require a battery, charging or Bluetooth pairing. Availability may vary by country.

12a. Venue offers

Some participating venues choose to fund an offer for people who check in. The venue sets, funds, limits and withdraws its own offers; NOT YET is not the seller and is not a party to the transaction. Offers may be capped daily, restricted to certain times or branches, withdrawn at any time, and may be unavailable when you arrive. An offer has no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred or sold. A venue’s failure or refusal to honour an offer does not affect your completed rule — if you checked in, your apps are released regardless. Complaints about goods or service are matters for the venue and, where applicable, your statutory rights against it. Where an offer is not honoured and you tell us, we may raise it with the venue or remove it from the network, but we do not compensate for unredeemed offers.

13. Tag orders and delivery

For physical Tag purchases, we may collect information needed to fulfil the order, including name, email, shipping address, country, order reference, payment status, carrier and tracking information. Estimated delivery dates are estimates unless applicable law requires otherwise. Delivery may be performed by third-party fulfilment providers or carriers. You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address.

14. Physical product returns and faulty Tags

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected. Where a Tag is faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise covered by mandatory consumer law, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law. Return rules for non-faulty items are published at Tag Shipping & Returns; start a return via the Returns Portal.

15. App Store payments and refunds

Purchases made through Apple's App Store are processed by Apple. Refund requests may be handled by Apple under Apple's refund and purchase policies. Any mandatory consumer rights you have against us remain unaffected.

16. Health and exercise disclaimer

NOT YET is not a medical or healthcare service. Exercise-related functionality is general consumer functionality. You are responsible for deciding whether physical activity is suitable for you. Stop exercising and seek appropriate help if you feel unwell or experience concerning symptoms. NOT YET does not diagnose, treat or prevent disease.

17. Location and personal safety

Do not use NOT YET while driving or where interacting with your phone would be unsafe. Do not configure destination or movement challenges that encourage trespassing or entry into unsafe places. Always prioritise personal safety over completing a challenge.

18. Acceptable use

You must not: use NOT YET unlawfully; interfere with or attempt to bypass server-side security or administrative systems; reverse engineer the service except where the law expressly permits it; use NOT YET to restrict another person's device without proper authority; misuse support, messaging or fulfilment systems; attempt to access another person's operational records; or damage, overload or disrupt our infrastructure.

19. Availability

We aim to keep NOT YET available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Some functionality operates locally on your device. Other functionality may depend on Apple, internet connectivity, push-notification infrastructure, payment systems, our support tools or another support provider, fulfilment providers and delivery carriers.

20. Updates

We may update NOT YET to improve functionality, fix bugs, maintain compatibility, improve security, introduce features, comply with law or respond to Apple platform changes. Some features may require a newer iOS version or a newer NOT YET version.

21. Intellectual property

NOT YET, its software, branding, graphics, designs, product copy and other intellectual property are owned by or licensed to Social Vortex Limited. You receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use NOT YET in accordance with these Terms and Apple's applicable usage rules.

22. Apple-specific terms

These Terms are between you and Social Vortex Limited, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for NOT YET and its content, maintenance, support and product claims. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for NOT YET. Apple and its subsidiaries may be third-party beneficiaries of the applicable app licence where required by Apple's terms. Where Apple's Standard EULA applies, it forms part of the applicable licence terms for the app.

23. Third-party services

NOT YET may use or interact with third-party services including Apple, infrastructure providers, fulfilment providers, checkout/payment providers and carriers. Those services may apply their own terms and privacy policies.

24. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. Subject to mandatory consumer rights, NOT YET is a consumer behaviour-management tool and is not intended for safety-critical, medical, emergency or professional use.

We are not responsible for losses caused solely by: misuse of the app; ignoring safety warnings; unsupported device modifications; failure to grant required permissions; or third-party systems outside our reasonable control. Any other exclusion or limitation applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

25. Consumer rights

You may have mandatory consumer rights depending on where you live. Nothing in these Terms removes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

26. Suspension or termination

We may restrict access to server-side or operational services where reasonably necessary because of fraud, abuse, unlawful use, security threats or serious breach of these Terms. This does not affect mandatory rights relating to purchases already made.

27. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary. Where required by law, we will provide notice of material changes. The current version will show its effective date.

28. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
